CEC: Statewide CARB ULSD Output, Supply Fell Last Week
OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) --- Statewide production of California mandated
ultra-low sulfur diesel edged lower during the week ended Oct. 25 as lower
output at southern facilities offset increased production to the north, data in
the California Energy Commission's latest Weekly Fuels report show.
CEC reports CARB ULSD production at southern refineries declined 101,000 bbl
last week to 633,000 bbl while output at northern facilities rose 90,000 bbl to
146,000 bbl last week. Overall CARB ULSD production at 779,000 bbl for the week
profiled was 58,000 bbl more than the same week in 2023.
Total CARB ULSD inventories fell 225,000 bbl to 1.338 million bbl in the
week ended Oct. 25, the lowest level since the end of May and 44% below supply

stocks at northern facilities dropped 176,000 bbl last week.
Statewide production of other diesel, including ULSD meeting Environmental
Protection Agency requirements, declined 48,000 bbl to 681,000 bbl while supply
dropped 172,000 bbl to 999,000 bbl last week.
